Cracker Jack Kids and The Olympics

Cracker Jack Kids and The Olympics
We learnt 3 new words today and these are what they mean to us
Perserverance - Keep trying your best, it doesn’t matter if you dont succeed the first time
Honesty - Telling the truth, playing fairly
Stay Focussed - Keep trying, follow our goals and dreams
We found that the values of cracker Jack kids were like the values that people competing in the olympics need to have in order to succeed!

We made a display of words that show these values

And remember...

If we try our BEST
then everyday we will get a little bit BETTER!

Literacy Week

The first week of Term 3 and it is literacy week! Room 1 and 2 worked together for a Dr Seuss inspired week of wackiness.

We made our very own Cat in the hat biscuits, Thing 1 and Thing 2 creatures, wacky class designs and bookmarks. We dressed up for the book character parade and even had a wacky hair day!

Take a look at some of our photos

Maori Week

Rooms 1, 7 and 14 worked together during Week 10 of Term 2. Together we became Whanau Tahi!

Together we practised our Te Reo skills, weaving harakiki, singing waiata, poi, playing Ki-o-Rahi and much more.

We completed a large art mural to represent Ranginui (The Sky Father) and Papatuanuku (The Earth Mother) and the areas of the land that Maori used to gather kai.

Look at the finished product. Ka Mau to Wehi!
